I often read articles about “value-enhancing activities” for creating value in various niches. While these articles can provide helpful insights, a clear and simple model for creating, delivering, and amplifying value is often missing.

That’s why I use a Value Framework with three lenses. solving the right problems (lens 1) for the right people (lens 2) and in the right ways (lens 3). This model helps teams and companies align on what value means and determine whether it has been or will be delivered.

This framework allows leaders to create value for their people, teams, peers, and stakeholders. As a result, companies can better understand the value they create for their customers, employees, and shareholders. Likewise, marketers can communicate the value of products and services more effectively. And startups can assess whether they’ve found product-market fit.

It’s essential to verify each lens of the model has been considered and validated. By questioning whether you have the right information for each category and seeking proof that you’ve solved the right problem(s) for the right person (or people) and in the right ways, you can work towards creating exceptional value in any situation.

This model also helps facilitate effective strategy building and fosters collaboration by providing a shared understanding of value. By identifying and removing faulty assumptions and verifying value delivery, people with varying backgrounds, expertise, and world-views can come together to create more value.

In conclusion, having a clear and straightforward model for value creation and delivery is essential for success in any niche or industry. The Value Framework I use with three lenses provides a helpful tool for aligning teams and creating sustained value.
